Provincial domain of Huizingen

In the shadow of the beautiful nineteenth-century Castle of Huizingen lies a vast domain of +/-91 ha. with all kinds of activities  for everyone:

A lake, in which you can go for a row, is situated around the castle or if you wish, you can choose the pedal boat.

A tourist train can also bring you to the most beautiful spots in the park. For the little ones, a ride with an electric mini car is a guaranteed success (during summer season from 1st April to 30th September).

In the middle of the domain midst the beautiful flora, a large heated outdoor recreation swimming pool that is open from 1st May till 15th September, with water slides, a sunbathing area, a playground and a beach volley is also at your disposal.

The forest with numerous deciduous and other specific trees is a hikers paradise. In the months of April and May, the ground is covered with a carpet of flowers such as bluebells.

The restoration work on the monument recognized as ‘Rock Garden’ enters his last phase but is not accessible yet for the visitors (reopening is expected in 2018).

Maximum capacity of the swimming pool: 3.500 visitors
