The albatross, the bird of the seas, is a long-distance traveller, only reaching dry land after flying thousands of kilometres. After many adventures which took our family as far as Asia, we came across this house. We needed to settle and this old farm welcomed us. It is at the entrance to Alsemberg, a small town in Flemish Brabant, exactly 15km form the Grand Place in Brussels and 7km from Waterloo and its famous Lion.

B&B De Horzel
De Horzel (Hornet) is the name the original owners gave to this house that was built in 1906 and used to house a carpentry, a café and a little grocery store. The shed has been beautifully refurbished and now holds two guest rooms, which have been decorated with great passion for authentic and natural materials.
